3D MODEL INFORMATION

Accurate and precise existing building or new construction Revit models are generated from PDFs, Hand Sketches, CAD documents, Sketchup, Point Cloud, field measurement and/or photographs.

We capture basic Civil, MEP and Structural information if available and are required by the clients. We will understand the information to be extracted from the model and ensure the end result matches expectations.

PROJECT COORDINATION

Architecture models developed shall be coordinated with models from the consultants. We will work with your team and/or consultants to ensure that any clashes between the different trades is noted and addressed before the final submission.

Our team understands major US codes and will raise red flags if special attention is needed for reasons of ADA, Plumbing or Fire & Life Safety code compliance. Appropriate solutions can be suggested and the model updated accordingly.

  • Export and send architectural models and/or documents

  • Import or link consultant models to the right locations

  • Study the model and flag any clashes and discrepancies

  • Update architectural models as per consultant's changes where required

BIM FAMILIES

FAMILY TYPES & COMPLEXITY

We develop accurate and detailed system families in the project or in a template that can then be loaded to the required projects. The families are created to high levels of accuracy including the structural composition, materials and finishes.

Loadable families are created as simple or parametric objects based on the type and varieties needed. Information on manufacturer, materials, finishes etc., that are required for scheduling will be added into the families. The models could also have subcategories to aid in scheduling and graphic representations in the documents.  ​

 

We have experience creating adaptive components that are used to develop organic forms and complex facade solutions.

​

Annotation families created will be accurate to manufacturer's specification to enhance detailing in documentation. The annotation families will standardize, streamline and reduce errors in the projects.

DOCUMENTATION & DETAILING

DOCUMENTATION

Documentation deliverables are tailored to the project phase and level of detail required.  We will create a set of documents that meet with the deliverables specified in the contract with the clients and/or your specifications.

We work with you and your team to develop

​

  • Cover sheet with project information, project location and any other information that you may want listed.

  • General sheets with general requirements, performance notes, standard details, area calculations and scope definition sheets etc.

  • Egress plans with occupancy calculations, exit routes, exit locations etc.

  • Plan sheets with dimensions, annotations, tagging, patterns etc. Plan sheets will be divided and separated into site, existing, slab, dimension, finish, furniture etc., based on the complexity and size of the project. We will create the required general notes, sheet notes, legends as required on the sheets.

  • Dimensioned, annotated, tagged Elevations and Sections showing the materials and construction types.

  • Detailed callouts for plans, elevations and sections will be generated and detailed out using Revit 2D components to convey the construction techniques and unique conditions of the project.

  • Schedules generated from the model; coordinated and verified to assure that there are no discrepancies

  • Basic structural and MEP drawings if required in the initial stages of the projects.

DETAILING

Standard details that are consistently used through out your projects can be created in Revit from new details or converted from your office CAD details to Revit. We can store these in Revit template files to make it easier and quicker to grab for your documentation process.

We have expertise in creating project specific details using Revit families. We work with Revit model callouts and manufacture's specifications to develop details that are true to the construction methodologies on field. We have worked on a number of buildings in various global locations and are knowledgeable in different building techniques and styles.

Scheduling

SCHEDULING & QUANTIFICATION

SCHEDULES TYPES

Project schedules (such as Room Schedules, Door Schedules) will be generated to get accurate information on the elements modeled. We can customize schedules to capture additional properties, calculated values and other element characteristics that make it convenient for analyzing the components in the model.

We take care to ensure that the elements modeled and scheduled are coordinated and represent thoroughly the design intent.

QUANTITY / MATERIAL TAKEOFFS

We will work with you to generate the quantity takeoff to help with costing and estimating. If established early in the project we can work with you to set up the model elements in the appropriate manner to be able to generate quantities like count, length, area etc, correctly based on the type of elements to be quantified. The detail and accuracy level will be highly dependent of the quality and detail level of the model. A better understanding of what you and your team requires will help us generate the right schedules for you.

NON 3D SCHEDULES

Tables and schedules for elements that may not be needed as modeled elements  but would be great to have in the documents will be generated so as to save time during documentation; and all the building requirements are captured for consultants and construction.

Schedules required for a complete document set like sheet list etc., will be generated and coordinated.

PROJECT TEMPLATES

New project template or updated existing  templates are an integral part of using BIM efficiently and effectively. We will assist to set these up for your firm and/or update them periodically. In their basic form the templates we develop for you, will include but not be limited to:

  • Sheets borders

  • Views, view categories and browser organizations

  • Sheets with place holder views

  • System, loadable and annotation families

  • Legends

  • Dimension and text styles

FAMILY AND DETAIL TEMPLATES

Setting up template files that house standard families or details that are frequently used by your company helps standardize BIM models, information generated from models, reducing time and errors. Some examples of templates types are
